Bio

 

 

Soozin is a Florida based DJ that has been playing music to dance floor enthusiasts for almost 10 years. She began DJing in 2000, in Gainesville, FL, and quickly began earning gigs at various clubs, including Full Circle, Bleu, and others. She began playing out in Orlando and south Florida shortly thereafter. Soozin now resides in Miami and still DJs regularly at various clubs in the tricounty area. She also recently gained international exposure, playing opening night at Liquid in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica.


Soozin has played numerous clubs in Miami and surrounding areas, including Pawn Shop, Nikki Beach, Laundry Bar, Blue, X-It, Lush, and many more. She has played numerous events at the Winter Music Conference, and is a panelist for the 2009 WMC. She has been a featured DJ at the WMC DJ showcase since 2007 and will be again in 2009.

As for radio, she has been on Pulse Radiofor 4+ years and has organized the WMC Pulse Radio event for the last 3. She also has a 4+ year running show, and is on-air personality for, “The Basement” on 88.5 FM, Radio X. The show is broadcast live on the air waves on Friday nights and on the web.

Soozin has now expanded her DJing to other projects. She is a founding member of Green Clubbing, a powerful resource for helping to make the dance music industry a more eco-friendly one. She is also Music Director for Life is Art Fest.

DJing is not Soozin’s full time career – she works professionally in environmental education and conservation. She holds two graduate degrees – an MS in Environmental Education and another in Coastal Zone Management. Soozin is also an avid runner and cyclists, participating in many charity runs and races.
